I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Claremont Graduate University in 2010 after completing my dissertation on the Supreme Court in the Progressive Era. My current research is focused on the historical interaction between universities and American politics. I teach courses on political institutions, constitutional law, and public policy, as well as a series on political philosophy, including classical, modern and American political thought. The goal of my teaching is to show students the value of civic deliberation in pursuit of the common good.
